Previously, he ran a successful home renovation business in North America, and his work with major brands like Home Depot and Kohler helped transform outdated properties into modern masterpieces.

Originally from Canada, Hal has lived in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, several Caribbean islands, and Italy before settling in Mexico. "The joy in this part of Mexico is almost palpable and unlike anywhere else I’ve ever been," he says. He and his longtime partner Thomas divide their time between their home in Ajijic and another property on the Pacific coast. Hal believes, “Step one is deciding if Lake Chapala is right for you. Then, we find the perfect area within the community. Once those choices are made, the right home will reveal itself. My job is to help you discover it and listen to your needs."
