At Zen by the Lake, we practice Qigong as a way to transcend
our ordinary nature.
Our knowledge of the human body's energy mechanism allows us to teach and practice manipulative methods and techniques (Tui Na), which are necessary for cleansing, unblocking and directing the internal flow of Qi, Helping to improve our health through traditional and natural means. True Qigong traditions highlight themselves for transmitting not only the techniques related to movements but, for teaching the Fa or Law that supports the teachings. At "Zen by the Lake" we share the teachings of Great Kung Luohan (Taoist) and Fa Lun Gong (Buddhist) Masters.
For our teaching sessions, we adopt a Zen philosophical approach and also, we have included some traditional practices from this transformative Way, such as Zazen and the Tea ceremony. Our open group sessions last one hour twice a week. We also offer intensive programs during the weekend and, on Fridays, we offer private one-on-one sessions. Kham Rel the founder of Zen by the Lake shares his expertise through weekdays' classes (live and on-line), group talks and workshops, and through his books, articles, and commentaries found in this digital website and in our Facebook page as well.
